Description
The Model 8 Tread End Cement Machine is designed to handle a wide range of treads including dual extrusions. This unit is available in two configurations, both of which handle the treads flat throughout. The “C” type returns the tread in the direction from which it came and is usually positioned following the booking station. The tread is sprayed at the end of the line and then returned back to the booker for loading in Spadone tread tray trucks. The “S” configuration is designed for in-line operations.
The machines are equipped with belt conveyors having release characteristics and any over spray deposited on the belt is removed by a series of pickup rolls which are in contact with the belt surface. Each pickup roll has a disposable sleeve. As the cement builds up on the roll, the roll cocks to an open position and the sleeve is easily removed.
Both spray stations are equipped with two to four guns depending on the tread width to be sprayed. The guns are easily adjusted to accommodate the width in question. Both machines are fully guarded for operator safety. Cement spray systems and fire extinguishing systems are available as options.
