Description
Spadone’s Vertical Bias Cutter is a high production – accurate machine for cutting rubberized cord fabric on the bias. Materials up to 62″ wide can be cut at any angle from Horizontal 90° to 45°.
The back driven roll permits the fabric to form a festoon that is controlled a photo-electric timer prior to passing over the feed roll. This is most important because the fabric is relieved and “tension-free” prior to passing over the measuring roll which feeds it through the knife.
The raceway is fully self-contained and air operated. The clamp bar action is controlled by a centrally located air cylinder and the knife carriage cuts on the up and down travel. Quick acting air clamps hold the raceway to any given angle as may be determined on a dial indicator.
The latest Servo technology drives the feed roll. Length of cut is infinitely variable on the walking beam measurement control 0 to 99″. The machine is capable of cutting up to 24 CPM, depending on length of feed.
The Vertical Bias Cutter may be customized to meet specific requirements. Spadone is a pioneer with over 100 years of experience in the manufacture of bias cutting systems and specialty production machines for the rubber and tire industry.
